The federal government says a ten-man committee of health workers is on standby to tackle any possible outbreak of Ebola virus.
Briefing state house correspondents at the end of the federal executive council (FEC) meeting on Wednesday, Isaac Adewole, minister of health, said this became necessary following the new case of Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
He said the standby team comprises ten frontline healthcare workers that would be moving to locations where they are needed.
The minister also said the team is currently financed by the health ministry “until there is the need for further funding.”
