Many instances of voter inducement have been reported in the ongoing governorship election in Edo state.
Godwin Obaseki of the All Progressives Congress and Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are squaring up to each other in the contest.
According to election observers and monitors, party agents – from APC and PDP – have been seen giving out money to voters and campaigning at voting centers.
The agents are reported to be sharing as low as N500 and as high as N10,000 to voters who are willing to be induced.
