The Super Eagles of Nigeria lost 1-0 to Senegal in a Pre-Afcon friendly at the Ismailia Stadium on Sunday evening.

The game served as a test for the two teams who are all preparing for the competition in Egypt.

Coach Gernot Rohr also used the match to assess his 23-man squad for the Cup of Nations.

In a game which had Samuel Chukwueze, Victor Osimhen, John Obi Mikel and Jamilu Collins all having a feel, Nigeria could not take advantage of the opportunities that came their way as Senegal secured victory courtesy an 18th-minute strike from defender Idrissa Gueye.
