Enough is Enough (EiE) Nigeria, a civil society organisation, says it will be hosting a Twitter space on citizens’ expectations of Tinubu’s administration.

The Twitter space tagged “ThursdayTalks” is a monthly conversation with thought leaders and active citizens on good governance in Nigeria.

It is an initiative of EiE Nigeria in collaboration with BudgIT, and TheCable as its media partner.

In a statement on Wednesday, EiE said the June edition of the conversation will have leaders speak on “BAT’s executive activism: Expectations for the future”.

“President Bola Tinubu, true to his promise of hitting the ground running upon assuming office, has wasted no time taking significant steps toward addressing key issues in Nigeria,” the statement reads.

“In just two weeks since his inauguration, Tinubu has signed several crucial legislation, signaling his administration’s commitment to effecting positive change.”

The organisation listed some of the legislation signed by Tinubu to include the electricity bill, students loan bill, data protection bill as well as fuel subsidy removal.

“While acknowledging the significance of these legislative actions, it is crucial for policymakers to consider the long-term impact of these bills,” EiE said.

“Transparency, public involvement, and robust discourse are key elements in addressing potential challenges and maintaining the relevance and effectiveness of these laws.

“In line with this, the upcoming edition of Thursday Talks, scheduled for this month, will center on citizens’ expectations of this executive activism.

“The session will provide a platform for constructive dialogue, fostering a deeper understanding of citizens’ perspectives and aspirations.”
