Enough is Enough (EiE) Nigeria, a civil society organisation, says the roles of the ministers and areas of priority as expected by Nigerians will be examined in the upcoming edition of “Thursday talks”.

Thursday talks is a monthly online conversation with thought leaders on issues affecting Nigerians and the country.

The conversation is an initiative of EiE in partnership with BudgIT and TheCable.

The August edition is themed, “Nigeria ministerial inauguration: What is expected?”

The edition will engage experts to speak on Nigerians’ expectations of President Bola Tinubu’s government, the roles of the recently appointed ministers and how they can implement policies that favour the public and the country.

On August 21, President Bola Tinubu inaugurated 45 ministers to head various ministries in his administration.

In a statement on Monday, EiE said this month’s conversation will have Nancy Odimegwu, a communications associate at BudgIT, as moderator, and Mustafa Tijani, a public affairs analyst, as speaker.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu swore in his new cabinet of 45 members on Monday. With the Ministerial Inauguration, Nigeria is about to enter a new era, and citizens find themselves with heightened curiosity and expectation,” the statement reads.

“Keeping national hopes and fears in mind, it’s important for the public to understand and anticipate what lies ahead.

“In this month’s edition, we dive into the functions of these ministers in the Nigerian political system, the potential policy shifts they might bring, and the broader implications for the everyday lives of Nigerian citizens.”

Other speakers are Iyanuoluwa Bolarinwa, senior project manager, Lead OGIP, BudgIT, and Onyekachi Chukwu, a public affairs analyst.
