An eight-month-old baby and a woman have died following a collision involving two commercial buses on Ikorodu road in Lagos state.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) said the accident occurred on Sunday morning opposite Olabode House, between Anthony and Obanikoro.
According to the agency, a red Tata commercial bus travelling from Palmgroove towards Anthony reportedly lost control, crossed the median barrier and rammed into a Volkswagen commercial bus heading towards Palmgroove.
LASTMA said the woman died on the spot, while the eight-month-old baby later succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash.
