Adekunle Adeagbo, Oore of Otun Ekiti, has congratulated Femi Fani-Kayode, former minister of aviation, on his ambassadorial nomination.
Fani-Kayode was among 32 ambassadorial nominees sent by President Bola Tinubu to the senate for confirmation on Saturday.
In a statement on Sunday, Adeagbo congratulated Fani-Kayode, whose chieftaincy title is Aare Ajagunla of Mobaland, Otun Ekiti.
“We are delighted by this honour done one of our sons, the Aare Ajagunla of Mobaland, Otun Ekiti, by the Federal Government. We are proud of you. Well done. More glory and more grace,” the statement reads.

Bayo Onanuga, presidential spokesman, said the new nominees are expected to be posted to countries with which Nigeria maintains excellent and strategic bilateral relations, such as China, India, South Korea, Canada, Mexico, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, South Africa, and Kenya, and to permanent missions such as the United Nations, UNESCO, and the African Union.
The nominees will know their diplomatic assignments after senate confirmation.
