The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna has unveiled a 989-member campaign management council for Uba Sani, the party’s governorship candidate in the state.

The list, dated October 20, was signed by Emmanuel Jakada, Kaduna APC chairman, and released on the party’s official Facebook page in the early hours of Friday.

Nasir el-Rufai, governor of Kaduna, was named the chairman of the council while Sani was listed as deputy chairman alongside Hadiza Balarabe, the deputy governor.

Jakada was given the vice chairman position while Yusuf  Zailani, speaker of the Kaduna house of assembly, was also named vice chairman.

Sani was elected as the APC governorship candidate in Kaduna after being chosen by consensus in May.

TheCable had reported how el-Rufai backed Sani’s election as the consensus candidate.

In July, the governorship candidate appointed Balarabe as his running mate.

Sani said he choose the incumbent deputy governor because of her immense contribution to the current administration.
