The Enugu state government has declared Thursday September 25 a work-free-day for President Goodluck Jonathan’s reelection rally.

A statement signed by the state’s commissioner for information, Mr Chuks Ugwoke, on Tuesday, directed markets, banks and schools in the state to remain shut while the rally lasts.

Ugwoke said the closure was to enable the people to participate fully in the rally, organised by the Enugu Movement for the Reelection of President Goodluck Jonathan (EMJ).

He advised the people to adhere to the directive and appealed to them to come out en masse to attend the rally, billed to hold at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium.
