Enyimba to face Egypt’s FC Pyramid in CAFCC quarter-final
Enyimba will square up against FC Pyramid, an Egyptian club, in the 2020/21 CAF Confederation Cup quarter-final.
The draw for the knockout stage was conducted in Cairo on Friday.
The People’s Elephants will travel to Cairo for the first leg on May 16 while the return leg will be played in Aba a week later.
Enyimba finished top of group A but had to wait until the last day to secure passage into the knock-out phase.
The two-time CAF Champions League winners qualified following a nervy 1-0 win against South Africa’s Orlando Pirates at the Aba Stadium on Wednesday.
Cyril Olisema scored the only goal of the game in the fifth minute of added time.
Enyimba will take on the winner between Raja Casablanca of Morocco and Orlando Pirates — if they overcome FC Pyramid.
