Arsenal defeated Crystal Palace 5-0 in their English Premier League (EPL) clash at Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

The Gunners, on a poor run of three consecutive defeats, answered title critics with a comfortable performance to take all three points.

Gabriel Magalhães rose highest to convert Declan Rice’s corner kick delivery to put Arsenal in the lead before the defender proved instrumental on another delivery, his diving header hitting the back of the goalkeeper and into the net for own goal and 2-0 lead at the interval.

Arsenal sealed the victory when Leandro Trossard finished off a counter attack led by Rice and Gabriel Jesus, with the latter putting it on a plate for Trossard to finish with aplomb on the hour mark.

Gabriel Martinelli added more gloss to the easy win with two identical goals in added time.

The win sees Arsenal rise to third on the EPL log with 43 points, same points as second-placed Manchester City and two points behind leaders Liverpool, but both clubs have played a game less.
