Manchester United scored five times to exert their superiority against relegation-threatened Bournemouth in their 5-2 win at Old Trafford in the English Premier League (EPL).

The 19-time EPL champions had to come from a goal down to overpower Bournemouth, with all three of their strikers getting on the scoresheet.

The visitors took a shocking lead on 16 minutes through Junior Stanislas, with the striker nutmegging Harry Maguire before beating an error-prone David De Gea at his near post from a tight angle.

The Red Devils responded on the half hour mark through Mason Greenwood. The in-form youngster found the bottom corner with a trademark low shot for 1-1.

The video assistant referee (VAR) system awarded Man United a penalty on 35 minutes for handball in the box and Marcus Rashford dispatched the spot-kick to complete the turnaround for a 2-1 lead.

Shortly after, Anthony Martial curled in another goal from the left flank on the stroke of halftime to give United a well-deserved 3-1 at the interval.

There were three goals in the first fifteen minutes of the second half. Joshua King’s penalty for Bournemouth reduced the lead but another Greenwood strike and Bruno Fernandes’ free kick increased the scoreline to 5-2.

The win means Man United have not tasted defeat since the game against Burnley on January 22, putting together a 16-game unbeaten run.

It was also the first time United would be scoring five goals in an EPL game since December 2018

The 23-year-old scored the opening goal in Leicester City’s 3-0 win over Crystal Palace at the King Power stadium, securing his fifth league goal of the season.

Iheanacho, who scored in Leicester’s 1-2 loss at Everton in midweek, was handed an easy tap in after Vincent Guaita, Crystal Palace goalkeeper, misjudged Youri Tielemans’ cross.

The former Man City youngster was however substituted on 66 minutes while Wilfred Ndidi, his compatriot, played all 90 minutes.

Jamie Vardy secured the win with his 100th and 101st EPL goals in the 77th and 90th minutes respectively to keep Leicester in third place.
