EPL: Liverpool pummel Chelsea as Man City, Spurs secure wins

Liverpool scored twice in each half to defeat Chelsea 4-1 in their English Premier League (EPL) encounter at Anfield on Wednesday night.
The Reds produced a spectacular display against the Blues, with goals from Diogo Jota, Connor Bradley, Dominik Szoboszlai and Luiz Diaz against a ragged Chelsea side.
Christopher Nkunku, however, scored Chelsea’s consolation.
Jota had put Liverpool ahead when he forced his way through the defence before slotting in, with youngster Bradley doubling the advantage via a strike to the far post.
Nunez failed to convert a penalty kick but the hosts soon forgot the incident as Szoboszlai headed in the third before Diaz rounded up the goal.
Nkunku reduced the deficit but could not prevent Chelsea from going away with a defeat in the enthralling encounter.
Liverpool remain five points clear at the top while Chelsea are in tenth position after 22 matches.
Elsewhere, Manchester City defeated Burnley 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium, thanks to Julio Alvarez’s brace to keep pace with Liverpool in second position.
