EPL round-up: Chelsea lose to Nottingham as Haaland scores hat-trick for Man City
Chelsea succumbed to a 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest in their English Premier League (EPL) encounter at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
The Blues were undone by Anthony Elanga’s strike early in the second half as Mauricio Pochettino’s youthful side struggled to find goals despite creating enough chances to win the game.
Elanga, a first-half substitute, latched on to Taiwo Awoniyi’s pass in the 48th minute to slot home what proved to be the winner.
Chelsea’s quest for an equaliser was futile as Forest battled to secure a second win of the season.
Manchester City continued their perfect start to the season thanks to Erling Haaland’s hat-trick in a 5-1 victory over Fulham.
Heun-Min Son also scored a hat-trick in Tottenham’s big win at Burnley.
