Access Bank has been named ‘Best Bank 2025’ in Ghana and The Gambia by Euromoney, a global financial publication.
In a statement on Tuesday, Access Bank Nigeria said the awards affirm the group’s regional growth and continued focus on financial inclusion, innovation, and sustainable impact.
“This double win reflects Access Bank Group’s consistent strategy of local excellence with global standards, positioning its subsidiaries as key players in Africa’s dynamic banking landscape,” the statement reads.
“Access Bank Ghana has demonstrated exceptional resilience and growth, driven by strong digital infrastructure, a customer-first approach, and impactful financial solutions.”

Olumide Olatunji, managing director of Access Bank Ghana, said the award reflects the team’s passion and dedication, and the trust placed in the bank by its customers.
He said the bank is proud to lead a new era of banking in Ghana, centred on inclusion, innovation, and sustainable development.
The statement said Access Bank Gambia’s back-to-back recognition, after also winning in 2024, highlights its progress in financial inclusion, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) support, and ESG-led banking.

It said the bank is expanding access through innovative, branchless models and strong community engagement.
Stephen Abban, managing director of Access Bank The Gambia, said the recognition is a testament to the commitment of the team and customers’ trust.
The bank said it remains focused on delivering value beyond banking, with efforts aimed at transforming lives and building sustainable communities.
