EXCLUSIVE PHOTOS: Jangebe schoolgirls who narrowly escaped getting abducted

When gunmen invaded Government Girls Secondary School, Jangebe, in the wee hours of Friday, 317 students were abducted — but many others managed to escape.

The school, situated in Talata-Mafara local government area of Zamfara, has now been deserted by students and teachers.

Security personnel have been sent after the gunmen to rescue the abducted schoolgirls while local and international bodies have condemned the abductions.

Of the several schoolgirls who escaped from the claws of the gunmen, TheCable was able to speak to Marwanatu Shittu, Maryam Sani, Hannatu Aliyu, Suwaida Sanni and Zarau Bashir.
