Festus Keyamo
Festus Keyamo, minister of aviation, has accused the African Democratic Congress (ADC) of attempting to hoodwink Nigerians with recycled “419‑style tactics”.
The Delta state-born politician spoke during an interview on Sunday Politics, a programme on Channels Television.
He added that the ADC’s political playbook comprises courtroom‑tested tricks that no longer resonate with a more discerning electorate.
“I know them very well, and they know us very well. These tactics they are employing are expired. They are 419 formats that have been used over the years,” Keyamo said.

“I was an EFCC prosecutor. I know those formats. Nigerians know them too. You cannot deceive Nigerians with these expired formats again.
“Reeling out figures, picking out isolated incidents of some indices, and using it for generalisation are old tactics. Nigerians are wiser than that.”
The aviation minister said while inflation remains a challenge, macroeconomic fundamentals were improving under President Bola Tinubu.

“The real question, going forward, is whether or not we have got the macroeconomics right. Guess what? We have. Inflation is coming down,” he said.
“The naira has been steady. Foreign reserves are rising. Government revenues are rising. These are indices of a healthy economy.
“The trickle‑down effect will soon reflect in job creation and improved living conditions.”
Keyamo added that the All Progressives Congress (APC) remains strong with demographic advantage and solid structures, dismissing ADC as offering nothing but the same “confused coalition” tactics.
