A popular native doctor identified as “Akwa Okuko Tiwaraki” has been abducted in Oba, Idemili North LGA of Anambra state.
Ikenga Tochukwu, state police spokesperson, confirmed the development to TheCable on Monday morning.
Tochukwu said the native doctor was kidnapped from his hotel room on Sunday night, while two of his personal aides were wounded.
Akwa Okuko Tiwaraki is said to be one of the most powerful and richest witch doctors in the state.
Although some reports said the witch doctor’s aides were shot dead, the state police spokesperson said he could not confirm the information.
“I am aware that they were wounded. An operation is in motion as we speak to rescue the abducted native doctor,” he said.
