Peter Aboki, deputy provost, college of agriculture, science and Technology, Lafia, Nasarawa state, has sued Alanana Otaki, a former commissioner for agriculture and water resources, for allegedly snatching his wife.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) Aboki’s wife, Felicia, had also filed a case against her husband seeking dissolution of their 18-year marriage.

While addressing the upper area court in Lafia on Monday, Shikama Shyeltu, counsel to Aboki, applied that the case brought by the wife be suspended pending the determination of the matter bordering on her alleged extramarital relationship with the former commissioner.

On his part, David Meshi, counsel to Felicia, said his client was no longer interested in the marriage to the applicant, which was why she decided to seek divorce.

The ex-commissioner through his counsel, Joseph Agbo, argued that he did not have a hand in the marriage crisis between the couple.

After listening to all the parties, Abubakar Lanze, the presiding judge, adjourned the case till September 15 for hearing.

Abdullahi Sule, Nasarawa governor, had on Monday sacked all commissioners and other political appointees in his cabinet, including the defendant in the suit.
