Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar and Lai Mohammed, minister of information, exchanged pleasantries at the commissioning of the Pulaaku Radio in Yola, Adamawa state capital, over the weekend.

The meeting was the first public one between both men since Abubakar resigned his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Abubakar had alleged that the ruling party had instituted a regime of “draconian clampdown on all forms of democracy”.

He also said one of the reasons he left APC is because the federal cabinet, which Mohammed belongs to, did not have a single youth.
