Taofik Adebayo, head of the public affairs unit of the Lagos state environmental and special offences unit (task force), on Wednesday, celebrated the birthday anniversary of his “princess”, using the official Twitter account of the force.

The post, which has gone viral, was greeted with criticism and banters by social media users.

Series of comments on the post criticised the official handling the page for not switching accounts before making the post.

“May you forever sparkle and shine like the star that you are (Fathia Ololade Adebayo). Happy birthday my princess,” the tweet read.

The post has, however, been deleted from the state’s task force Twitter account.

When TheCable reached out to Adebayo, he said the post was a mistake.

“Thanks. It was a mistake and necessary retraction has been made,” he wrote.

However, it is not the first time Adebayo is tweeting something personal using the Twitter handle of the task force.

On his birthday in May 2019, he had celebrated himself on clocking a new age.

“I am so happy because Almighty Allah has chosen me as a member of selected new age stars. I shall reign now and forever, my glory will continue glowing even more. I pray that Almighty Allah should bless me new age and endow my life with endless JOY. Happy birthday to me!” the post read.
