A Qatar airways flight headed to Bali, Indonesia, was forced to make an emergency landing in India, after a woman on board discovered her husband was having an affair.

According to Sky News, the Iranian woman had used her husband’s finger to unlock his fingerprint sensitive phone while he was asleep.

The woman reportedly started hitting her husband repeatedly following the discovery.

Consequently, the plane was forced to make an impromptu stop in the southern Indian city of Chennai after attempts by flight attendants to restrain her failed.

The couple and their child were removed from the plane, before it continued its journey from Doha, Qatar to Bali.

Chennai’s New Indian Express reported that G Chandramouli, the airport’s director, said the woman was drunk and was held at the airport until she was sober before the family were allowed back on a plane.

The family was said to have spent a day at the airport.
