The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) on Thursday joined other service providers across the nation to celebrate Customer Service Week, reaffirming its commitment to prioritising the needs and welfare of the public.
In a flier posted to mark the occasion, the NPF reiterated its dedication to putting the public at the centre of its services.
“The Nigeria Police Force celebrates Customers Service Week as we renew our commitment to placing you at the heart of our service,” the flier reads.
Customer Service Week is observed throughout Nigeria as a time for businesses and organisations to appreciate and engage with their clients and stakeholders.

When we say institutional decay, this is what we are saying. When a law enforcement agency sees herself as a business venture, the populace is in deep trouble. I see why men of the force are constantly transacting on the high way day and night.

Isn’t policing in a democratic society supposed to be about public safety, law enforcement, and building community trust by ensuring fairness and justice? At what point did policing become transactional to the extent of having customers? 😳. Can someone please bring us up to…

Nigeria has become a joke.
What do you mean by "esteemed customer"?
Where else in the whole wide world will you find a police force dealing with customers if not Nigeria?
Not citizens, customers?
Omo!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not your customer. I'm a citizen who benefits from the services you're established by law to render to me without an exchange of monetary value. A customer relationship exists when someone voluntarily pays for goods or services from a business or organisation, for profit.

lol no wonder bail isn’t free even if you guys claim that it’s free and also no wonder your men take bribes on major highways, in short they have POS machines to transact with their “CUSTOMERS”. Sometimes they even give change to their customers 😂.
