Wale Tinubu, chief executive officer of Oando PlC, says he is “looking forward to his new life in music”.

Tinubu gave the hint in his birthday celebratory post shared on Twitter and Instagram.

Pictured holding a guitar, the embattled Oando CEO who turned 52, said he is “eternally grateful to Allah”.

The post was completed with the hashtags “#WaleTinubuTheGuitarist” and “#JATRecords”, possibly an indication of his interest in music or perhaps something more.

Tinubu is fondly called JAT by his employees and friends. JAT is an acronym of his full name- Jubril Adewale Tinubu.

“+1 today. Eternally grateful to Allah and looking forward to my new life in music,” he wrote.

Oando, led by Tinubu has in the last few years been under scrutiny by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) due to allegations of financial misappropriation.

In May, SEC asked the Oando CEO along with Mofe Boyo, his deputy, to resign and also barred them from being directors of any public company for five years.

Following this, Tinubu filed a suit seeking to restrain SEC from replacing him and making changes to Oando’s management team.

A federal high court sitting in Lagos has fixed July 22 for hearing of the suit.
