The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) says reconstruction works have commenced at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos.
In a travel advisory on Friday, FAAN urged passengers to leave early for the airport to avoid missing their flights.
“To ensure a smooth travel experience, we kindly request that passengers leave early for the airport to avoid missing flights, obey all traffic instructions to aid traffic flow, park vehicles properly in designated car park areas,” the authority said.
FAAN said that due to limited space, only those travelling should visit the airport during the period of the reconstruction works.

On August 1, the federal executive council (FEC) approved contracts worth over N900 billion for infrastructure upgrades in the country’s aviation sector.
Announcing the approval, Festus Keyamo, minister of aviation, said the centrepiece of the approvals is the full rehabilitation, upgrade, and modernisation of terminal one of the MMIA, Lagos.
