An unspecified number of fans are injured after a car drove into a large crowd during Liverpool FC’s victory parade.

The incident happened around 6 pm on Monday, while Liverpool players and officials held an open bus parade around the city to celebrate their English Premier League (EPL) triumph.

Thousands of fans trooped out in the city to celebrate the club’s 20th league title.

“The scenes in Liverpool are appalling — my thoughts are with all those injured or affected,” the tweet reads.
