UniAbuja VC Babatunde Fawehinmi
Babatunde Fawehinmi has assumed duty as the eighth substantive vice-chancellor of the University of Abuja.
Habib Yakoob, the institution’s acting director of information and university relations, confirmed this in a statement on Thursday.
He said Fawehinmi resumed official duty after a rigorous and transparent selection process by the university’s governing council.
The professor is taking over from Mathew Adamu, who has served in acting capacity since August 11, 2025.
