The minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Senator Bala Mohammed, has approved the compulsory retirement of 18 workers for age falsification and certificate forgery, the chief press secretary to the minister, Muhammed Sule, has said.

The retirement of the workers is one of the high-points of the biometric exercise carried out by the FCT administration on staff data irregularities.

Sule on Sunday said that the interim report of the implementation committee of the recommendations submitted by the firm that handled the biometric exercise had established and confirmed 18 cases of age falsification/certificate forgery.

“The minister has directed that further clarifications and assessments on 11 officers with pending remarks as well as 59 officers who are yet to respond to the queries sent to them through their respective Secretariats, Departments and Agencies (SDAs),” Sule said.
