Federal high court Abuja

The federal high court (FHC) will begin its 2025 annual vacation from July 28.

In a statement on Thursday, Catherine Christopher, the FHC’s director of information, said the court would resume sitting on September 17.

During the vacation period, only the Abuja, Lagos, and Port Harcourt judicial divisions of the court will remain open to handle cases of “extreme urgency”.

Persons with pressing legal matters are encouraged to approach the nearest of these three courts for relief during the recess.

To ensure the smooth handling of such matters, Emeka Nwite and M. S. Liman will sit as vacation judges in the Abuja division, while the Lagos division will be manned by Deinde Dipeolu and Musa Kakaki.

In Port Harcourt, urgent cases will be handled by P. M. Ayua and A. T. Mohammed.

John Tsoho, chief judge, extended his warm wishes to all judges of the court, wishing them a restful and pleasant vacation.
