Roger Federer defeated Rafael Nadal on Sunday night in Melbourne to win his fifth Australian Open and 18th Grand Slam title.
The Swiss won 6-4, 3-6, 6-1, 3-6, 6-4 in an epic five-set duel against Nadal.
The win also gave Federer his first win over Nadal at a Grand Slam event since Wimbledon 2007, and was his first-ever victory over the Spaniard in Australia.
