Federation Cup: Katsina, Abeokuta to host semi-finals
The semi-final matches of this year’s men’s Federation Cup competition will hold at the Karkanda Stadium, Katsina and the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta on Wednesday, August 19, 2015.
The Karkanda Stadium, which was commissioned a couple of months ago with a match involving the Super Eagles B and a Katsina Selected Side, will play host to the clash between five-time champions Enugu Rangers and Lobi Stars of Makurdi – who have won the competition two times.
In Abeokuta, Nasarawa United of Lafia will slug it out with Akwa United of Uyo.
Akwa United prevailed over Niger Tornadoes Feeders on penalties after a 2-2 draw, while Nasarawa defeated FC IfeanyiUbah 1-0 in the quarter finals played on Wednesday.
In the women’s Federation Cup, Kogi Confluence Queens, who eliminated Cup holders Rivers Angels in the quarter finals, will tackle Bayelsa Queens at the Oleh Township Stadium.
Nasarawa Amazons will face Sunshine Queens at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.
