His club further released a statement confirming the report and stating that the former Everton man is recovering in quarantine.

“The official test confirmed that the player Fellaini has tested positive for coronavirus during the quarantine observation period,” the statement read.

“During this period, the player’s body temperature has been normal and there are no other discomforts. He has received further observation and treatment at a designated medical institution.”

China, where COVID-19 started from, has recorded over 80,000 cases of the global pandemic. It has also reported very few cases in recent days as the country seems to have stemmed the tide of the virus spread.
