The federal government says it plans to establish livestock breeding centres in each of the six geopolitical zones of the country.

Aliyu Abdullahi, minister of state for agriculture and food security, said the move will enhance productivity and sustainability in the sector.

According to NAN, the minister spoke on Wednesday at a two-day interactive session on government-citizens engagement organised by the Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation in Kaduna.

Speaking during a plenary on agriculture and food security, Abdullahi said the Tinubu administration is intentional about investing in Nigeria’s livestock sector.
