‘Fighting the biggest thieves in the land’, ‘do me I do you’…reactions to Magu’s rejection

The senate on Wednesday rejected the nomination of Ibrahim Magu as chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

This is the second time in three months.

The anti-graft czar was accused of corruption ‎and “gross violation of human rights”. He was also alleged to be in possession “of undeclared pieces of property”.

While some Nigerians canvassed support for the EFCC boss by saying he’s “fighting the biggest thieves” in the land, some are of the opinion that President Muhammadu Buhari should nominate another candidate for the job.
