Ahmadu Fintiri, governor of Adamawa
The national working committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has unveiled a 110-member organising committee for the party’s national convention scheduled to take place on November 15 and 16 in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.
Ahmadu Fintiri, governor of Adamawa, is the chairman of the committee, while Ademola Adeleke, his Osun counterpart, and Kabiru Turaki will serve as the first and second deputies, respectively, with Peter Mbah, governor of Enugu, as the secretary.
In a statement issued on Monday, Debo Ologunagba, PDP’s spokesperson, said the committee is mandated to supervise arrangements for the convention and guarantee a hitch-free national event.
“Sequel to the resolution of the national executive committee (NEC) to hold the 2025 elective national convention of our great party on Saturday, 15th to Sunday, 16th November, 2025 in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital, the following party members have been appointed as members of the 2025 national convention organising committee (main committee),” the statement reads.

Members of the committee include Adolphus Wabara (BoT chairman), Umar Iliya Damagum (acting PDP chairman), Taofeek Arapaja (deputy national chairman, south), Samuel Anyawu (national secretary), Namadi Sambo (former vice-president), Bala Muhammed (governor of Bauchi), Seyi Makinde (governor of Oyo), and Douye Diri (governor of Bayelsa).
Others are Caleb Muftwang (governor of Plateau), Siminalayi Fubara (suspended governor of Rivers), Kefas Agbu (governor of Taraba), Dauda Lawal (governor of Zamfara), Mohammed Makarfi (former governor of Kaduna), Bukola Saraki (former senate president), and Aliyu Babangida (former governor of Niger).
Last week, the opposition party inaugurated a 44-member zoning committee for the national convention.

The committee is expected to allocate the various NWC positions to the geopolitical zones, which the NEC will review and approve.
