C-way, a consumables manufacturing company at Ejigbo, a suburb of Lagos, was engulfed by fire which destroyed goods worth millions of naira on Tuesday evening.

Adeosun Olusegun, principal fire superintendent, Lagos state fire service, said the fire which broke out at about 6:10 pm, lasted for hours.

“It took the fire service officials hours to put it out as it had spread to other buildings before our arrival,” he said, attributing the incident to electrical upsurge.

Olusegun said the factory was completely razed before his men could put off the fire.
