A bomb explosion in Kano has reportedly killed no fewer than five people and injured 15.
The explosion happened on Saturday morning at a scrap collection company located on the Eastern bypass in the state.
Ibrahim Bakosri, state police commissioner, who visited the scene, said the bomb was a military model.
Bakosri said he was informed that the vehicle carrying the bomb was a truck from Yobe state.

The injured persons have been taken to the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH), the police commissioner noted.
He said authorities have yet to confirm the exact cause of the explosion or the ownership of the explosives.
“Security agencies are currently investigating the incident. The facts will be clearer once the investigation is completed,” the police commissioner added.
