Five killed in fresh Plateau attack

Five people have been killed and three others injured after gunmen attacked Inding, a village in Barkinladi local government area of Plateau state.

The gunmen were said to have attacked the village on Sunday night.

Those injured during the attack have reportedly been taken to a hospital at the headquarters of the Barkinladi local government for treatment.

When contacted, Terna Tyopev, Plateau police spokesperson, confirmed the attack.

Tyopev said information about the attack is still sketchy but divisional police officer (DPO)  of Inding was on his way to brief him on the details.

“There was an attack in the village yesterday, in the night. And it resulted in the death of five people, and three people injured,” he told TheCable.

“The information is sketchy, they have not updated me with the details but the divisional police officer is coming to the command to five update.”

In March, gunmen suspected to be herdsmen killed five persons in Dantako and Nzharuvo communities in Miango district of Bassa local government area of the state.
