Flying Eagles’ celebration after their 2-0 victory over Black Satellites of Ghana in an international friendly game played in Ghana almost turned sour after the team was involved in an accident.

The U-20 side were returning to their hotel when the bus conveying them ran into the main gate of the Tema Sports Stadium.

One of the players, Usman Hassan Saleh, was hit by a broken glass that got into his eyes. He was swiftly attended to by the team doctor.

No other casualty was recorded and few minutes after the incident, the team left for their hotel.

Nigeria and Ghana used the game, as well as the one they played on Monday, to prepare for the Africa Youth Championship holding in March in Senegal.
