Nigeria U-20 team, the Flying Eagles, were held to a 2-2 by the Black Satellites of Ghana in a friendly match at the Ohene Djan stadium in Ghana on Monday.

The host started brightly but couldn’t translate it to a goal. As the Eagles gradually settled into the game they took the lead through Musa Yahaya in the 22nd-minute.

The Flying Eagles could have gone 2-0 up but were made to pay for their profligacy in front of goal after Ghana equalised in the 35th minute to the delight of the home fans.

Five minutes to the interval, though, Chidera Ezeh restored Nigeria’s lead with a cool finish.

Ghana didn’t waste time to equalise at the restart of the game as they drew level in the 51st minute.

There were no further goals in the game but hostilities resume on Thursday February 19th when they meet again this time at the Tema AstroTurf stadium.

The two teams are using the games as part of their preparation towards Senegal 2015 African Youth Championship in March.
