Tiwatope Savage Balogun, Nigerian musician and songwriter popularly known as Tiwa Savage, has revealed the reason for hiding her baby’s identity.

Speaking to TVC Entertainment on the show ‘TVC Connect Meets…’, the new Pampers ambassador explained that she wanted to bond with her baby.

“It is a decision me and my husband made. My life is in the public, my husband’s to some extent as well,” she said.

“We wanted our baby to have the first few months with us without any news and any unnecessary attention. We just wanted a little time just to bond with him.”

The Mavin first lady expressed her opinion on being replaced in the music industry as the queen bee.

“I don’t think I was really bothered. I know how entertainment is and sometimes you need that kind of news so I didn’t take it personally,” she said.

“I wasn’t really moved by it because when you’re having a baby, that’s one of the biggest joys that you can ever ever imagine.

“At that time I was taking time away from music and I knew I had to take time off but my focus was really my baby.”

The 35-year-old singer revealed her love for bread and that she does not like cooking.

The mother of one recently became Pampers ambassador and is currently promoting her latest album ‘RED’.
