Four murdered in Jos ambush

Unknown gunmen on Tuesday attacked Wat Village, near Kuru, in Jos South Local Government Area of the state, killing four persons.

Confirming the news in an interview with NAN, Public Relations Officer of the Plateau State Police Command, SP Felicia Anslem,
said the attack occurred in the night when the victims were asleep.

“Not only were four persons killed, several others were injured,” she said, adding that investigations into the killings had commenced, and urging members of the community to remain calm.

Media Officer of the Special Task Force in the state, Captain Ikedichi Iweha also confirmed the attack but gave no further detail.
