Frank Edwards performs as 29 graduate from MTNF-MUSON music programme

A total of 29 students have bagged diploma in music under the scholarship programme organised by MTN Foundation and the Musical Society of Nigeria (MUSON) School of Music.

The two-day event featured many activities including a performance by Frank Edwards, the Nigerian gospel singer.

It also included interesting musical and instrumental performances from the graduating students.

The graduands performed covers of numerous songs such as ‘I Hate Men’ by Cole Porter, ‘Danzo Africano’ by Tunji Vidal, ‘Iya Ni Wura’ by Moyosore Adebanjo, ‘Ole Oloju Kokoro’ by Seun Owoaje, and ‘Never Far Away’ by Lagbaja.

Some of them were also celebrated for their outstanding contributions during the programme.

Alebiowu Ayomide, Oluwarotimi Samuel and Abisola Edun won the MTN Foundation awards for exceptional scholars.

The trio of Flora Fasan, Olaitan Israel, and Eze Victor also got awards from Frank Edwards and Femi Adeniyi-Williams in different categories.

The graduands are expected to deploy the knowledge gained during the programme to promote their music career and influence those around them positively.

The MTNF-MUSON scholars’ diploma programme was launched in 2006. Since its establishment, it has fully funded over 400 music scholars to study at MUSON School of Music.
