Freeze, Cool FM OAP, calls his wife ‘a violent adulteress’
Ifedayo Olarinde, Cool FM on-air personality (OAP) known as Freeze, says he was a victim of domestic abuse.
The OAP, who is yet to formally dissolve the union with his wife, said he sustained injuries as a result of violent encounters with her.
Describing her as “a cursed woman”, he accused the mother of his two children of attempting to attack him in the presence of his parents.
“I am speaking out because I was once a victim of domestic abuse not because I am trying to spite my ex! What if I had died from the injuries?” he wrote on Twitter.
“Silence and maturity never helped! It made me, the victim, seem like the aggressor. Leading me to finally speak out.
“I have injuries that have left my close friends and colleagues baffled….. If I retaliate I become a wife beater. Who speaks up for us men?
“As we continue to encourage silence because of ‘maturity’ we continue to punish innocent men being abused daily.
“What kind of wife attempts to hit her mother-in-law in the presence of her father-in-law and husband? #CursedWoman
“I thank GOD for the fact that I don’t have to wake up beside a violent adulteress!
“I am creating the forum for men who are victims of domestic violence to have a voice and to speak up and be heard so help me GOD.”
But his wife has denied the allegations, saying her estranged husband is only seeking attention.
“I have received calls and inquiries from friends and family who have drawn my attention to the recent posts emanating from the social media from my estranged and soon-to-be ex-husband, Ifedayo Olarinde,” she said in a statement.
“Before now, he has tried ceaselessly and without any restraint to upset and assassinate my character but I have decided to keep my calm because it is not in my character to sensationalise issues. I would like to state here categorically that I AM NOT AND NEVER HAVE BEEN A VIOLENT ADULTERESS!
“I understand that he is desperately seeking attention and publicity to generate a livelihood, but it is unnecessary to peddle lies and traumatise both the children and I in the process. I wish him well and will still make time to pray for him despite the fact that he is keen on destroying us to make space for his new family.”
They lived together as husband and wife for 15 years.
Men endure a lot of s***t from women everyday, and are embarrassed to tell anyone. If they beat the s***t out of their women, they become wife beaters. Better be a wife beater than an abused Husband. The problem is that the guy is always guilty, looks bad and pays a dear price more than women do.
The Children too? No self respecting Man wants to lay a hand on the mother of their Kids. This is a double edged sword, because women use this virtue in a Man to abuse him even further. Such Women need to be dealt with to avoid such issues. Too bad Divorce becomes the answer. I lived it. Women who use a Man’s Virtue to weaken him is a DEVIL, and there are lots of them out there.
