The presidency has released the list of all the appointments of President Muhammadu Buhari since May 29, 2015.

There are 75 northerners and 82 southerners on the list, which contradicts the popular belief that Buhari has favoured the north or marginalised the south-east in his appointments.

Femi Adesina, special adviser to the president on media and publicity released it in response to a newspaper result.

Editor’s note: TheCable observed numbering errors; whereas there are 157 names on the list, the numbers were listed from 1 to 159, with 118 and 151 missing. 

Also, Maryam Uwais, special adviser on social investment who works in the office of the vice-president, and Mohammed Babandede, comptroller-general of Nigeria immigration service, were listed as north-central appointees instead of north-west
