Nigerian referees
The Confederations of African Football (CAF) has announced the seventy match officials for the upcoming African Nations Championship, known as the CHAN
According to the list released on Thursday, 26 referees, 26 assistant referees, and 18 video match officials (VMOs) were appointed for the tournament that involved players representing their local clubs.
However, there was no Nigerian on the list as CAF selected match officials from 36 member associations.
While Uganda, Algeria, and Morocco have multiple referees on the list, no Nigerian was selected as the centre referee.

The likes of Ghana (2), Benin (2), Gambia (2), Niger (2), and Togo (1) are neighbouring countries represented on the list.
Also, Morocco is most represented with seven officials, followed closely by Algeria (six officials). Uganda, Cameroon, and South Africa have three match officials apiece.
