Funmi Iyanda wants to have more alcohol – or more sex
Funmi Iyanda, an ace broadcaster and celebrated journalist, is finding it difficult to make a choice between sex and alcohol.
Doctors have advised the 43-year-old single mother to choose one of the two to cancel out her strenuous lifestyle and struggles.
Apparently finding it difficult to make a choice, she sought advice from her Twitter followers.
“My doctor once said, ‘look, you need to drink more or have more sex, all this wahala about Nigeria will kill you’. Which should l chose please?” She wrote.
Her tweet garnered replies from her followers who suggesting one therapy over the other, but Iyanda, in the spirit of ‘democracy’, decided to take a poll.
“Since gutter love is better than gutter fight. Let’s take a poll guys,” she tweeted.
“Which is better coping strategy? Retweet for sex, Favourite for alcohol. Assume grace of God/ insha Allah as a given.”
In less than two hours, she had 45 retweets and 15 favourite, posing sex as the winner of the poll.
As expected, the CEO of Ignite Media and executive director of Creation Television, did not turn against the will of her followers but stuck with the outcome of the poll.
“You people are killing me die with laughter. See, this is why Nigeria will kill you but you will love her die sha noni.
“Okay, lemme go and shine fine girl enter town. Nigerians have spoken.”
