Speaking on Channels Television on Sunday, the presidential aide said the government is on top of the security situation across the country.

Shehu said though the present state of insecurity in the country predated the Buhari administration, the federal government is dealing decisively with it.

However, he noted that the president does not know it all and is open to fresh ideas to tackle all challenges the country is facing.

On different occasions, stakeholders in the country have called on the president to address the growing cases of insecurity, ranging from herder-farmer crisis, kidnappings and banditry.
