Still basking in the euphoria of his client’s recent breakthrough in securing a mouth watering move to Naples, William D’Avilla, Victor Osimhen’s agent, has stated in clear terms that Genaro Gattusso, Napoli manager, is already looking forward to working with the Super Eagles forward.

In a chat with Radio Marte Sports, D’Avilla hinted that Gattusso is already obsessed with the former Lille attacker following his first season wonder with the French side, where he scored 18 goals and six assists in 38 appearances across all competitions to emerge Mastiffs player of the season.

“The most important thing for the boy was the feeling and love for the club. When you play in a season like the way he did last year, every coach can tell you what you want to hear to lure you over but another thing is to build a rapport,” he said.

“That is exactly what the coach like and said about Osimhen in our first chat. Osimhen is convinced that he will be able to score many goals with Gattusso in charge.”

D’Avilla disclosed further that Osimhen is gradually settling down to life in Naples after securing his apartment in the city this week with the help of his girlfriend.

He added that the former Wolfburg striker is expected to join his teammates for pre-season hostilities once Napoli’s UEFA Champions League campaign is over.

“Osimhen and his girlfriend have been around with my assistant in town this week and have already found a home. It was important that he gets everything ready. He will join the team when he returns to train after the Champions League is over,” D’Avilla said.
