Hashimu-Shehu Gazura, Zamfara State Independent Electoral Commission (ZASIEC) commissioner, has died in a motor accident.
The accident occurred on Yawuri Road in Kebbi state on Friday.
Mansur Bungudu, chairman of Zamfara House of Assembly Service Commission, announced the death of Gazura in a statement on Saturday.
“He died yesterday (Friday) as a result of a ghastly motor accident on Yawuri Road in Kebbi state,” the statement reads.
“The deceased’s funeral prayer is scheduled to be held at Gummi Emir’s Palace on Saturday at 11:00 am.”
Gazura was also a former member of the Zamfara assembly who represented Gummi 2 constituency.
